Goldwater Scholarship Provides stipends for educational expenses to ensure a continuing source of highly qualified scientists, mathematicians, and engineers. The Beinecke Scholarship The program seeks to encourage and enable highly motivated students to pursue opportunities available to them and to be courageous in the selection of a graduated course of study. Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Sponsors a competition for awards in support of study abroad. Boren Awards Enables U.S. graduate students to add an important international and language component to their graduate education through specialization in area study, language study, or increased language proficiency. Capital City Fellows Program A mayoral initiative to attract recent graduates of master's degree programs in public administration, public policy, urban planning and related fields to work for the city of Washington, DC. Candidates compete for two-year fellowship appointments during which they complete four six-month rotations in different city agencies, including: the Office of the City Administrator, Department of Human Resources, Office of the Chief Financial Officer, Department of Human Services, Department of Transportation, Department of Corrections, Department of Real Estate Services, the Metropolitan Police Department, among many others. Charles B. Rangel International Affairs Graduate Fellowship Seeks to attract outstanding young people who have an interest in pursuing a career in the Forgein Service of the Department of State. The Coro Fellowship Coro trains ethical, diverse civic leaders nationwide. The Critical Languages Scholarship Program The Program is part of the National Security Language Initiative (NSLI), a U.S. government interagency effort to expand dramatically the number of Americans studying and mastering critical need foreign languages. Freeman Awards for Study in Asia (Freeman-Asia) A program providing the information and funds to increase the number of U.S. undergraduates who study in East and Southeast Asia. George J. Mitchell Scholarship A national competitive fellowship sponsored by the US-Ireland Alliance. Jacob Javits Fellowship Provides Seventy-five fellowships each year up for graduating seniors and graduates to support study at the doctoral and Master of Fine Arts level in the humanities, social sciences, and the arts. Kaplan Leadership Associate's Degree Scholarship Offers financial and academic support, including individualized academic advising, transfer counseling, college tours, mentoring opportunities, leadership training, etc. The Marshall Scholarship Marshall Scholarships finance young Americans of high ability to study for a degree in the United Kingdom. Morris K. Udall Undergraduate Scholarship Awards scholarships to sophomores and juniors who have demonstrated a commitment to careers related to the environment. The Paul & Daisy Fellowship for New Americans A Fellowship providing opportunities for continuing generations of able and accomplished New Americans to achieve leadership in their chosen fields. The Peace Corps Challenges people to serve their country in the cause of peace by living and working in developing countries. Public Allies Advances new leadership to strengthen communities, nonprofits, and civic participation. The program pays full tuition, without regard to financial need, for three years of law school to outstanding students who are committeed to careers in public service. Thomas R. Pickering Undergraduate Foreign Affairs Fellowship A program seeking to recruit talented students in academic programs relevant to international affairs, political and economic analysis, administration, management, and science policy. Thurgood Marshall Scholarship Fund Strives for equal access to higher education by supporting outstanding students. The Truman Scholarship Provides funding to students pursuing graduate degrees in public service fields. Students must be college juniors at the time of selection. The US Department of Health and Human Services Emergin Leaders Program A competitive, two-year, paid, federal internship within HHS.
